The effect made a RAV4 catch my eye which is very rare. I say they shouldn't clean it off.

clean off the rear bumper and leave the rest. Looks pretty cool! Would probably look even better if it wasn't a rav4 lol.

Oh no-that shit is permenent-thick + rubbery. And reflective. Trust me.
My race car hauler looked like hell for the 1st 10 years I had it. I finally broke down + painted it. (white) It was on its maiden cleaned up trip. I swapped driving duties with the wife on the way to a race + went in back to take a nap. She finished off the hiway leg + was driving last 20 miles of backroads. I woke up + saw an area where they were painting lines. When we got there, you could see the inside of the drivers side wheelwell + the bottom of the door was a nice shade of yellow. WTF?!?! And the wifes answer? "I didn't do that—it wasn't me!" Let this be a warning to all you single guys—this is a no win one to argue. The stuff stayed for 3 years till I sold it-probably still reflecting.
